This is your home base at Anotherland: who we are, what we believe, who you’ll be working with, the rooms you can use and what happens from here.

Come back to it whenever you need to. If something isn’t covered, your A&R rep will point you to the right person.

01Who we areAnotherland

We are a company of spirit-animals — artists, writers, producers, dreamers, and doers. Story-tellers, world-builders, cultural-alchemists, redemptive-disruptors.

Problem-solvers, path-makers, and otherwise-ordinary people — knit together in the shared passion and belief that MUS!C (as an art form, not an industry) is unrivaled in its power to be a positive, unifying force in the world.

And those brave enough to create it and wanting to share it with the world are worth fighting for — not as commodities — but as people — the human kind.

We exist to reimagine the partnership between music creators and the support they need (on their terms, not ours). To better serve and empower writers, producers, and artists — to make the music that moves them — because we believe that’s the kind of music that best moves others (not an algorithm) — but humankind.

Based in Los Angeles, Nashville, and Sydney. Artist development, publishing, sync, label support, live events and production, and marketing for main street and the underground.

Well, Yeah, Kinda,
But Don’t Label Us—

Labels are for cereal boxes or packaged-goods with a use-by-date. We’re not about putting people in boxes, especially artists. Boxes are where art goes to die; and people when they die. So, yea, boxes and labels aren’t really our thing.

04Our missionHow much do we do?

As much or as little as an artist needs. Our mission is to align our passion to the passion it took them to make it. To offer our creativity and experience, and the best of our efforts, to help take their music as far and wide as there are ears to hear, hearts to feel, and minds to know just how good it is.

So, after many a long-long night, and days-turned-to-years wrestling with it; This is me launching something I’ve had on my heart since.. well, since way back when I was in highschool (yea, once upon a time in a different millennia), I never really knew how or when, but I knew it would happen in time… and so this is it… or at least the beginning of it; it’s called ANOtHERLANd!

—— been living in it’s humble beginnings with a handful of real-good people for a little while now, readying ourselves for the right moment — i’ve been in no rush; coz i believe in it enough to wanna to do it right… but ultimately, just wanna create a space for independent artists, writers, producers, dreamers, searchers and believers who care about making art that matters; risk-taking; a willingness to fail-trying and do so in the “most beautiful way”.

An emphasis on the power of alchemy, and the creativity that abounds in an open-handed tribe when we drop the ego and aren’t afraid to embrace the real-life-self; a simple, safe, reimagination of a music production house; with artist and label-services (but don’t label us), and creatives that make up of a community that seeks to embrace the process more than the destination in pursuit of art that challenges, inspires, reconciles and in all things is redemptive — that’s what good art does.. that’s what God does — with a desire to foster and curate the kind of fellowship that says “go again”, and “why not!”

    — I’m not interested in occupying the safe spaces, I care about the adventure found in the fringes — pushing the boundaries — searching for meaningful stories, beauty, honesty, and all that’s good — it’s not for everyone, and that’s ok… but it isn’t afraid to walk the narrow road with others, for others — so yea, that’s the vibe — for now — more to come…

We care about you as a person, not just what you make. That’s what creative care is for.

At Anotherland, our heart is to put artists and their families first, caring for the whole person, not just the work. A key part of that is creating an ecosystem of health, support, and wellbeing around you.

I have the privilege of serving in the role of a Creative Community & Care at Anotherland. My wife, Lauren, and I have been married for 18 years and have three (growing too quickly) kids. For most of our married life, we’ve served as pastors and leaders, primarily within the church creative and worship space, caring for artists, leaders, and their families. I’ve also spent over 20 years as a part of Hillsong United, including many weeks away on the road, so I somewhat understand the unique pressures and rhythms of creative life.

Alongside personal pastoral care from Lauren and myself, we’re also constantly curating a trusted referral network of wellbeing, marriage and mental health professionals should additional support ever be helpful.

There are no hoops to jump through, you’re always welcome to text or email us to start a conversation. Our availability is completely optional and always confidential.

We look forward to meeting you soon and serving you and your family in whatever way is most helpful.
